Dr Cleo Williamson is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health Care Professions Council. She has 10 years experience working in mental and physical health services within the NHS. This has included working with adults, children, young people and their families. She has experience in providing psychological interventions for; anxiety, depression, self-esteem, behaviour experienced as challenging, relationship issues and school/exam issues. Her particular expertise is working with young people with health conditions, learning difficulties and/or Autism. She is trained in the administration of neurological cognitive assessments and the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-2.
As well as Queen Anne Street Practice, she also works at University College Hospital London. She provides support for young people and their families who are living with health conditions.
She completed an MSc in Child Development at University College London and a Clinical Doctorate at the University of East London. Her doctoral thesis focused on paediatric psychology with rare developmental health disorders at Great Ormond Street Hospital. She continues to work with them to promote her qualitative research exploring parents’ experiences of having a child diagnosed with Landau Kleffner Syndrome. She is extremely interested in promoting the practice of integrating brain and behaviour relationships with a holistic understanding of a child and young person’s context and family.
